"Directions and Good Practices in Supporting Gender Equality on the labour market" the final conference of the COMPASS transnational partnership will take place in Budapest on the 26th June,2007. Besides presenting the COMPASS partnership, the program includes presentations about tools and solutions in supporting work-life balance and flexible employment. The presentations will be followed by round-table discussion.

Training of Enterpreneurship and Preparation of Grant Applications


On the basis of the requests deriving from the participants , the Kopernikusz Association organized a training course between 8 May – 5 June, 2007 in Békéscsaba. The first occasion was held by Alessandro Farina, president of the Association who talked about the story of his company, the process of its development and the difficulties he had to face. Luigino Bottega, marketing expert, shared his experiences in starting an enterprise and using Internet as the primary tool of marketing.

4th COMPASS transnational meeting in Tallinn, 20 – 22 July, 2006.

The agenda of the meeting included:
 
- the discussion of the contents and structure of the good practice guide,
- the presentation of the results of the quality assurance evaluation,
- the presentation of the possibilities of the E-learning platform,
- the presentation of the status of the survey among SMEs,
- the discussion of the dissemination and promotion activities.

Hungarian trainers visit the Italian project in Cosenza between 15 – 16 June, 2006

The teachers involved in the training of the mothers visited the Italian partners in Cosenza and had possibility to exchange experiences. Both partners presented their projects, discussed the experiences and the Italian partner described the methodology applied for the balance of competences and the outcome of the individual and group trainings. On the second day the Hungarian delegation met some of the participants of the Italian project.

3rd COMPASS transnational meeting in Rome, 17-20 June, 2006
On the meeting the partners:
 
- presented the status of their projects ,
- presented the administration of the COMPASS website ,
- discussed the possibilities of implementing the national training materials in E-learning,
- discussed ideas regarding the structure and contents of the good practice guide,
- decided about the contents of the first E-newsletter, accepted the final version of the quality assurance system of the transnational activity, discussed the dates of the meeting in Hungary and the final conference.

The training courses started in Békéscsaba on the 21st March for 4 groups of 15 participants each.
A part of the groups are for young mothers with secondary school qualification while the others are for mothers with elementary school qualification.

Until the summer school holidays the participants will have lectures on basic economics, communication and English. Baby-sitting service is provided for the duration of the training and is requested by about half of the mothers.

The second meeting of the transnational partnership „COMPASS” took place in Palermo between 4 – 8 March

The topics of the meeting:

- modification of the Transnational Agreement 
- elaboration of a common mainstreaming strategy 
- discussion of the quality assurance system of the transnational cooperation 
- discussion of the contents of the COMPASS website.

Opening conference of our project

On the 2nd March, 2006 the opening conference of our project will take place at  Hotel Fiume ( Békéscsaba, Szent István tér 2.).

The program begins at 10 a.m, the speakers include the deputy major of Békéscsaba, the director of the Békés County Labour Center and the partners of the project.


After the conference, the guests are invited for lunch at the hotel.

Our courses for young mothers recieving a matrnity grant start at the end of March with the following services:

- Free tuition (beginner and advanced level English, economics, comunication and information technology) Minimum requirement: 8 grade of elementary school performed/graduated
- Day-care for the children during the lessons, travelling allowance
- Free complementary services (mentalhygenic, legal and entrepreneurial counseling)
